33rd Annual Block Island Holiday Stroll
November 29 - December 1
Although it's quiet in town compared to the common summer scene, there are shops, restaurants, and hotels that are still open. The Holiday Stroll is a Block Island tradition happening again this year! From Friday, November 29th through Sunday, December 1st, enjoy a weekend on Block Island, in tune with a more relaxed-pace instead of the hustle and bustle of Black Friday on the mainland. The Shopping Stroll kicks off the holiday season with the town adorned in festive decorations including the now-famous Lobster Pot Tree, and local shops offering incredible sales beginning on Friday morning! For more information on the holiday stroll please visit https://www.blockislandinfo.com/event/annual-holiday-stroll/4/.
Glass Float Project
If you didn’t already know, there are 550 floats hidden on Block Island every season for people to find. They are all hand-made and unique in their own way, with 24 of them having a unique color to them, (24 for 2024).
Floats are hidden along trails, beaches, and public spaces. Remember to respect Block Island and the environment while you are searching for a glass float. You would never have to deconstruct a stone wall to find a float, use your eyes to look from all angles but please leave stone walls and the land as you found them.
